This Privacy Policy describes how Bogey Games LLC ("Bogey Games," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use Gymscape, including our website, web application, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
Gymscape is operated by Bogey Games LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company.
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
A. Information You Provide Directly
When you create an account or use the Service, we may collect:
Email address
Username or display name
Account credentials (passwords are stored securely and hashed via our authentication provider)
Profile information (such as avatar, preferences, or optional bio)
Fitness and activity data (such as workouts completed, progress, or in-app activity)
Payment-related information (processed by third parties such as Stripe, Apple, or Google; we do not store full payment details)
B. Information Collected Automatically
When you access or use the Service, we may automatically collect:
Device and browser information (operating system, browser type, device identifiers)
IP address
Usage data (pages viewed, features used, session duration, interactions)
C. Step Counts from Apple Health and Health Connect
If you turn on step counting, Gymscape reads your daily step count from Apple Health on iPhone, or from Health Connect and your phone's step sensor on Android. Health Connect includes steps from watches and other apps that write to it, such as Garmin or Fitbit.
We read step counts only. We never write to Apple Health or Health Connect, and we read no other health or fitness data from them.
We use your step count to run features you can see in the app: banking steps for Resource Collection, your daily streak, and your weekly recap notification. Your daily step total is stored with your Gymscape account for these features. If you are in a clan, step milestones (for example, reaching 100,000 steps) can appear in your clan's activity feed, which other members of your clan can see.
We do not sell step data, share it with advertisers or data brokers, use it for advertising, or use it to decide creditworthiness. Step counts read from Health Connect are not sent to our analytics providers.
Your step history is deleted when you delete your account. You can stop Gymscape reading steps at any time: on iPhone in the Health app under Sharing, Apps and Services, Gymscape; on Android in Health Connect under App permissions, Gymscape.
Gymscape's use of information received from Health Connect adheres to the Health Connect Permissions policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
D. Friends, Chat, Clans and Gifts
If you use the social features, we store your friends list, the friend requests you send and receive, and the players you block.
We store the messages you send in friend chat and clan chat, including quick phrases, clan invites and a clan's pinned message, so they can be delivered and shown in the chat. A friend chat can be read only by the two players in it. A clan chat can be read by the members of that clan.
Every message is checked by an automatic filter before it is posted. Messages the filter refuses are recorded with the reason, so we can apply chat limits and temporary mutes.
Other players can see your username, your character's look, your levels and your clan when they view your profile. Your friends and clanmates can also see whether you are online and what you are doing in the game, for example fighting an adversary or gathering.
When you report a player, we keep the report, the reason you chose and that player's recent messages, so we can review it and act on it.
When you gift membership, we record who gave it, who received it and any note you add. The player who receives it sees your username and your note. Players who gift membership can be shown on the Benefactors board in the game.
We use the information we collect to:
Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
Create and manage user accounts
Process payments and subscriptions
Enable fitness-related features and progress tracking
Improve and optimize the Service
Monitor usage and prevent fraud or abuse
Run friend chat and clan chat, and keep them safe: filtering messages, acting on reports, and applying blocks and mutes
Communicate with users about accounts, updates, and support
Comply with legal obligations
We may share information with third-party service providers that help us operate the Service, including:
Payment processors (e.g., Stripe, Apple, Google)
Analytics providers (such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar tools)
Infrastructure and hosting providers (such as cloud hosting platforms)
Error monitoring and security services
These third parties are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us.
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
Maintain user sessions
Secure accounts
Remember preferences
Analyze usage and performance
You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Service.
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
When you delete your account:
Your personal data will be deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or compliance purposes.
The friend chat messages you sent are deleted with your account. Messages you sent in a clan chat stay in that chat for its members, but are no longer linked to your account.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information
Delete your personal data
Object to or restrict certain processing
Request data portability

Gymscape is operated from the United States but is available globally.
If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Gymscape is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
